Perception Motor Visual Therapy enables a child to make sense and interpret what they see. Visual perceptual skills enable a child to make sense of and interpret what they are seeing. Skills like visual discrimination, visual memory, form constancy, figure ground and visual closure are the major focus of this therapy.
Visual Perception – ability to interpret the surrounding environment using light in the visible spectrum reflected by the objects in the environment
Visual discrimination – matching two same objects, recognizing details in visual images
Visual closure – identifying two objects that are same even if part of one is missing
Figure Ground – finding an object even when hidden in a background
Form constancy – ability to notice two same objects irrespective of size etc.
Visual Memory – ability to remember visual information
